³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ's Dr. M. Tara Joyce presented at ALER Conference
³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ (³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ) Education Department's Dr. M. Tara Joyce, associate professor, presented at the Association of Literacy Educators and Researchers (ALER) Annual Conference in Saint Petersburg, Fla. on November 3. ALER is an association of college and university reading professors from across the U.S. The "Evaluating the Impact of a College Reading Improvement Course" presentation was based on research conducted by Dr. Maureen Spelman, associate professor, and Dr. Joyce. The course was offered as a pilot by the Education Department at ³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ to support a group of education students who wanted to improve their college reading as well as their ACT, SAT, or TAP scores. Dr. Joyce taught the course in the spring of 2017.
