Attend the Third Annual ³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ-Southside Jazz Camp Concert
Join ³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ (³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ) for the Third Annual ³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ-Southside Summer Jazz Camp Concert on Friday, July 20 at 7 p.m. in McGuire Hall. The concert will feature two jazz bands consisting of over 40 students grades 6-12 that have been participating in the week-long jazz camp hosted by the ³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ Music Department.
The annual camp is provides students with the opportunity to learn from and work with an outstanding group of jazz educators who are dedicated to helping them gain their confidence and improve on their abilities as section players, improvisers and sight-readers.
After completing daily rehearsals on jazz repertoire, instrumental sectionals, improvisation master-classes, jam sessions, and music theory workshops, the students are excited to showcase their talents on the final concert, which is free and open to the public.
