³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ to Host 2025 Homecoming

³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ (³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ) will host its annual weeklong Homecoming celebration with a variety of events for faculty, staff, students and alumni beginning Monday, October 6. The week will culminate on Saturday, October 11, as the ³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ Cougars take on Siena Heights University.
This year's student Homecoming theme is "When I’m Back in Chicago," a nod to the popular song "End of Beginning" by artist Djo. On Monday, October 6, Sweet Home ³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ will be held in the Butler Reception Room from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Student will stuff their very own ³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ pillow and a enjoy sweet treat called a "fudge puppy," a made-to-order waffle with various toppings.
On Tuesday, October 7, staff and faculty will face off against students in a kickball game on the ³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ Softball Field from 4 to 6 p.m.
Later in the day, a scholarly presentation will be held in the Fourth Floor Boardroom at 5:30 p.m. ³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ alumna Mireya Wirtz '91, '95, will read her children’s book, "Fun Day with Misa." Milk and cookies will be served. Please .
On Wednesday, October 8, the community is invited to celebrate Mass at McDonough Chapel at noon.
DIY Your Denim will be held on Thursday, October 9, in the Butler Reception Room from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students can bring a pair of jeans or jean jacket to decorate with pearls, paint, custom ³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ patches, and more. Wear your creations to the Homecoming game!
A favorite annual tradition for students, the Bonfire, will be held along with the RSO parade on Friday, October 10. The parade will start at 7:30 p.m., followed by the Bonfire at 8 p.m. The winning RSO will receive a monetary prize to go toward their RSO account.
Wear your ³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ gear and head to Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field for a noon kickoff on Saturday, October 11! The opens at 11 a.m., and the first 150 alumni to check in will receive a free ³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ Alumni giveaway item!
Earlier on Saturday, alumni can also join in on an alumni baseball game at 8 a.m. on Richard R. Ferrell Memorial Field or alumni basketball games at 9 (women) and 9:30 a.m. (men) in the Shannon Center.
The celebration will extend into Sunday, October 12. ³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ music alumni will join the ³Ô¹ÏÁÔÆæ Jazz Cats in the Music Performance Hall at 3 p.m.
