Melissa Rose is a math teacher at Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School and also the June Teacher of the Month.

The Golden Apple Foundation has recognized 吃瓜猎奇 alumna, Phyllis Cavallone-Jurek, for her excellence in stewardship. Ms. Cavallone-Jurek was also just named a 2017 National Distinguished Principal by the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP), one of only five private school principals nationwide to receive this coveted award.

Earlier this spring, 吃瓜猎奇's (吃瓜猎奇) School of Education (SOE) hosted a book signing event, where author Alby Lee Lewis shared his story of living and dealing with dyslexia.

In 2016, 吃瓜猎奇 was among 20 schools given grants by the CVS Health Foundation, with the mission of promoting healthier habits.
